A congressional task force will interview "first-hand witnesses" of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna said.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is asking the Justice Department to share an update on when it plans to release documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The current assassination collection consists of more than six million pages of assassination-related records, photographs, videos, sound recordings and artifacts, the administration said in a press release.

Thursday marked a monumental moment in American history as it was April 4, 1968 that Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed.
