Arlington police are asking for help with their investigation after a man was found beaten in an AT&T Stadium parking lot after the College Football Playoff semifinal between Texas and Ohio.
Even without the CFP Championship game, however, sources told WFAA that the new deal between ESPN and the College Football Playoffs, which takes effect in the 2026-2027 season, will see The Cotton Bowl at AT&T Stadium still hosting its fair share of CFP contests.
The next three sites for the national title game will be at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans (Jan. 24, 2028), AT&T Stadium in Dallas (Jan. 22, 2029) and back to Hard Rock Stadium (Jan. 21, 2030) in Miami. New Orleans will host the CFP title game for the second time after LSU completed a perfect season with a win over Clemson in 2020.
AT&T Stadium hasn’t hosted the national championship game since 2015, the first year of the College Football Playoff.
