Ruling the American television space for a good four decades and counting has been the Saturday Night Live show. The late night comedy sketch show airs on

“Oh taylor swift snl 51 premiere LOCKED,” one fan wrote via X. Another X user theorized that Swift and her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, will both appear on the episode. The duo announced their engagement via Instagram on Tuesday, August 26.

The show made the announcement Tuesday, September 2, that Kill Tony comedian Kam Patterson is among those to be added to the lineup. Also joining Patterson are Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Veronika Slowikowska and Ben Marshall of the comedy group Please Don't Destroy.

With so many episodes under her belt, Gardner was the longest tenured female cast member on the show, joining back in 2017. Her exit came following the announcements of Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow and Emil Wakim also leaving the show after Season 50 (with more likely still to follow).

SNL star responds to the reactions the fans are having over the major cast shakeup that is happening to the show before the 51st season.

At “Saturday Night Live,” there’s drama before you get to the comedy. Every year at about this time, credulous observers of the venerable late-night NBC showcase get flustered by a series of cast changes that roll out about four to six weeks ahead of the next season premiere of the program.
