On Wednesday one of the Wolverines' unsung heroes, fullback Max Bredeson, made a decision on his future with the program. Widely known for his pancake blocks just past the line of scrimmage, Bredeson was immortalized in a viral social media of him having taken out Ohio State star Jack Sawyer with a crushing block.

One player who could have decided to move on to the NFL is tight end and fullback Max Bredeson, who was a team captain in 2024. After the ReliaQuest Bowl, Bredeson said of his decision, “ In the next week or so — I want to wait until after the season to figure out what to do. ”

After crushing Northwestern 50-6 on Nov. 23, Michigan followed with a stunning 13-10 upset over No. 2 Ohio State in Columbus. Then, playing without several top players who opted out of the ReliaQuest Bowl, the Wolverines knocked off an 11th-ranked Alabama team playing close to full strength.

Michigan tight end/fullback Max Bredeson, voted a captain for the 2024 season, announced his intentions for next season with the Wolverines.

Michigan Wolverines fullback Max Bredeson announced he is forgoing the NFL Draft and will be returning to Ann Arbor for the 2025 season. Bredeson has been a part of the Michigan football team since his true freshman season in 2021.
