Sterling K. Brown is deepening his roots at Hulu. After starring in the iconic ABC series "This Is Us" (and later reteaming with creator Dan Fogelman for "Paradise"), the Emmy winner and Oscar nominee is back at the streamer with the novel adaptation of "Washington Black.

The series will follow Esi Edugyan's best-selling novel, which tells the story of 11-year-old George Washington "Wash" Black, born on a Barbados sugar plantation and blessed with a scientific mind, embarking on an unprecedented journey in the 19th century.

Washington Black stars Ernest Kinglsey Jr. Rupert Graves, Iola Evans, Edward Bluemel, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Eddie Karanja, Tom Ellis, and Sterling K. Brown. Viewers can get a peek at them in the trailer above.
