Swedish police said a murder investigation has been launched after the deadly shooting in Uppsala on Tuesday, with photos of the scene showing officers outside a barber shop called “Shalom”.

In a statement, police in the eastern Swedish city said they received calls from the public reporting sounds resembling gunfire.

The shooting occurred at a hair salon near Vaksala Square in Uppsala, and led to the death of three people aged between 15 and 20. A masked suspect was seen fleeing the site on an electric scooter.
