Activists from "Just Stop Oil" were booed by the audience after they stormed a stage in England, interrupting a Shakespeare play to warn about global warming.

Two Just Stop Oil protesters interrupted a play starring Sigourney Weaver — bringing the show to a halt with a confetti cannon.

Two protesters climbed on stage during the middle of Sigourney Weaver's London performance of The Tempest to protest over rising global temperatures.

The Alien actress, who plays Prospero in the revival of the Shakespeare play, was sitting on a chair in the middle of a scene when two activists from the climate protest group Just Stop Oil took to the stage at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

UK police said on Tuesday they had arrested two people a day after climate activists disrupted a London play starring Hollywood actress Sigourney Weaver.
