Deputies respond to attempted carjacking in Spanaway: chase leads to multi-vehicle wreck
Four deputies were taken to a local hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in Spanaway Saturday afternoon. The roadway at the 15600 block of Pacific Avenue is being cleared up following the wreck. Several vehicles were involved, including the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue on X at 12:24 p.m.

Two suspects attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended. The remaining two complied with officers and were taken into custody.

Medics with Central Pierce Fire & Rescue transported all four of the officers to a local hospital to be checked out. The accident happened Saturday afternoon near 156th and Pacific Avenue and it involved several vehicles.
