In Sussex, a school bus hit and killed a 4-year-old boy on Thursday morning. Investigators said the student was transferring buses outside Silver Spring Intermediate School when he was struck.

Previously, 4K students were dropped off by bus at Silver Spring Intermediate School and then transferred to a shuttle, which would take students to Willow Springs, about 1½ miles away.
