Russian forces have launched a large-scale drone assault across Ukraine, where officials said three people were killed and 64 others wounded.

Russia's overnight drone assault targeted the southern Ukraine port city of Odesa and the northeastern city of Kharkiv, hitting apartment blocks, officials said. The barrage of more than 20 drones injured almost two dozen civilians, including girls aged 12 and 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The assault continued Moscow’s stepped-up drone and missile attacks, which have been ratcheting up for months with nightly bombardments on regions and cities in Ukraine.
