Max Verstappen’s victory at Imola was welcome for the neutral enthusiast, rekindling a three-way fight for the championship and ending McLaren’s run of victories. It was also a more significant win for Red Bull than his previous triumph at Suzuka.

The FIA appears to have issued two Technical Directives prior to the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. It cannot be ruled out that this is why Red Bull Racing was so strong, while McLaren had significantly less performance than in recent months.
