Marysville man sentenced to prison for disturbing threats against female police officer
A Marysville man will spend the next 11 years behind bars after he was convicted and sentenced for "sadistic" criminal threats against a female police officer, the Yuba County district attorney's office said. Officials said 27-year-old Angel Zavala was found guilty of criminal threats, battery on a peace officer and being drunk in public.
