ANN ARBOR – Michigan answered the bell Saturday after a shaky Week 1 win over Western Michigan, scoring a late touchdown to knock off No. 11 Oklahoma 17-10. Jyaire Hill’s fourth-quarter interception set up the game-winning score before the Wolverines’ defense slammed the door on the Sooners.

Bryce Underwood did not commit a turnover and scored a 38-yard TD as No. 24 Michigan moved to 2-0 with upset of No. 10 Oklahoma and John Mateer.

The No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners suffered a tough 17-10 Week 2 loss to the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday. It was an ugly performance from quarterback John Mateer, as his play didn’t help his team too much.

ANN ARBOR – Michigan cornerback Jyaire Hill knew he made a mistake. Protecting a 10-7 lead late in the third quarter, the Wolverines had Oklahoma pinned at its own 1-yard line. But Hill handed the Sooners some breathing room,

Michigan took down No. 11 Oklahoma 17-10 in a game in which Bryce Underwood outplayed John Mateer in a day dominated by defense.

Michigan earned a signature win in Week 2 of the Kyle Whittingham era. And it was right on time. The Wolverines showed their resilience in a 17-10 victory over No. 11 Oklahoma on Saturday, a week after getting a lucky break in a controversial win against Western Michigan that the NCAA said it couldn't overturn.

They also came up in the clutch, forcing three straight incomplete passes and a turnover on downs on Oklahoma’s penultimate drive on Saturday when the Sooners got the ball at midfield. And then, with the clock winding down and Oklahoma needing some late-game magic, sophomore Nate Marshall came up with the walk-off sack as time expired.

Oklahoma isn't beating Michigan the way the fans thought they would and they want head coach Brent Venables to pay for it.
