The New York Knicks closed out their first-round series against the Detroit Pistons in dramatic fashion. In Game 6, New York withstood a furious Detroit comeback and pulled out a 116-113 series-clinching victory thanks to a clutch 3-pointer from Jalen Brunson in the final seconds of regulation.

Despite finding themselves on the wrong end of a controversial call that decided Game 4, the Detroit Pistons flushed the thought of being slighted away and placed all of their focus on simply keeping their season alive in Game 5 on the road against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

“ They made some plays,” Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff said of the Knicks. “Obviously, there were some balls that just didn’t bounce our way. But again, I thought our guys fought their tails off and did everything they could do to put themselves in position to win the game.”
