After Purdue tied things with 35 seconds to go, Houston’s Milos Uzan put in a layup with one second left in the second half after a perfectly executed inbound play to send the No. 1-seeded Cougars into the Elite Eight on Friday night.

Milos Uzan and No. 1 Houston knocked off Trey Kaufman-Renn and No. 4 Purdue in the Sweet 16 of March Madness to advance to the Elite Eight.

Houston clinched a spot in the Elite Eight with a thrilling last-second win over Purdue in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Junior guard Milos Uzan converted a game-winning layup with roughly one second remaining in the second half, giving the No. 1 seed Cougars a 62-60 victory over the No. 4 Boilermakers.
