In all, 64 Macy's stores in several states, including Florida, New York, California, and Pennsylvania, are set to close, according to a listing of online closures. Most stores are expected to close in the first three months of 2025. The list of closings can be found here.

Five Macy’s Inc. department stores in Michigan are slated for closure, the New York City-based company said Thursday evening, as part of 66 stores nationwide it plans to close this year.

The closures are part of a strategy the retailer calls "Bold New Chapter," which it says will return the company to sustainable and profitable growth.
