The Los Angeles Lakers' fanbase understood the move, in concept. On Sunday night, the Lakers waived guard Jordan Goodwin, who had been a fan favorite. The decision had to be made to clear salary space for Marcus Smart, who is expected to be signed once he clears waivers following his buyout from the Wizards.
Phoenix Suns' backup guard Jordan Goodwin is averaging a team bench most 9.3 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists through its first three games.
Goodwin was waived by the Lakers Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Goodwin will have to explore opportunities elsewhere after being waived to create space for the Lakers' recent addition, Marcus Smart.
