Recent rumors from Bloomberg suggested Apple plans to update its iPad mini and finally give it the OLED display it has long deserved. As much as that sounds like an obvious upgrade, there’s a new wrinkle: Apple’s 8.3-inch tablet now has competition from the iPhone, of all places.

Most are just the expected refreshes to existing product line, like a new Apple Watch and the iPhone 18. The thing that came as the biggest surprise was the iPhone Duo, a foldable iPhone that opens up like a book to reveal a much larger tablet-like screen on the inside.

The 11-inch iPad with the A16 chip (128GB, Wi-Fi) is currently down 11% at Amazon. It retails for $449, but this offer drops the price to $400. It’s a modest $49 discount, which applies to the Pink, Blue, and Silver models. Yellow is on sale too, but it’s sitting at $427 at the time of writing.
