Edmonton Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch thinks it has been a bit of an unfortunate final for Connor McDavid given the amount of scoring chances that just haven't gone in.

While Draisaitl has ended the Oilers’ two victories in the series with overtime goals that gave him an NHL record with four in a single tournament, McDavid has beaten Sergei Bobrovsky once and has just four even-strength points in five games, one since Game 2.

He has played at a level many hockey players would do anything to achieve. But McDavid has another level — and the Oilers need it now.
