Joshua Steven Riibe, a witness in the disappearance of Sudiksha Konanki, has returned to the US after cooperating with Dominican police. Konanki, a pre-med student from the University of Pittsburgh, went missing in Punta Cana.

Investigators continue to search for a college student from Virginia who vanished earlier this month while visiting the Dominican Republic with five other people during spring break from classes.

Joshua Riibe's departure ends what his attorneys allege was a dayslong detainment in the country as investigators questioned him in connection with Sudiksha Konanki's disappearance.
