Abby Zwerner, a former school teacher in Virginia, testified on Thursday that she thought she had died when she was shot by her 6-year-old student in 2023.

Abigail Zwerner, the former Virginia teacher who was shot by a 6-year-old boy at school two years ago, told civil jurors she thought she was dead or about to die during the incident.

During day three of the trial, jurors were shown body camera footage of the moments right after the shooting, capturing paramedics working to save Zwerner’s life.
