The streaming giant quietly removed the feature that lets you control content on your TV screen using a mobile device. The company says the feature was not widely used.

Casting is now limited to older TVs and streaming devices, with access also being limited to users with ad-free subscriptions.

Netflix has removed many of the mobile to TV casting options, but some devices can still enjoy support from the platform.

You should still be able to cast from your phone or tablet to older Chromecast or Google Cast devices if you're on an ad-free plan.
