That said, there’s still more to come: Apple should be releasing an M5 Max and M5 Ultra Mac Studio in the near term future. In the February 22nd edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that the new Mac Studio is on track for the first half of 2026.

The M5 Max has the most robust external display support of all the MacBooks. Through its Thunderbolt and HDMI ports, the laptop supports up to four displays at native resolutions of 6K at 60Hz or 4K at 144Hz. It can also display two screens at up to a native resolution of 8K at 60Hz, 5K at 120Hz, or 4K at 240Hz.

The company also revealed an M4 iPad Air, M5 Pro- and Max-powered MacBook Pro models and a Studio Display XDR.
