New daily round trip will restore direct service between Grand Central and Albany-Rensselaer for first time since 1967.
Starting Monday, Oct. 6, six trains a day will run between Poughkeepsie and Grand Central Terminal in roughly 90 minutes — five to seven minutes faster than the current schedule.
The Metro-North Railroad will run between New York City and Albany for the first time starting in the spring of 2026.
