With All-Stars Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton now leading the way, take a moment to revisit the history of a rivalry that helped shape the NBA's Eastern Conference.
The New York Knicks made a historical Jalen Brunson announcement during their series opener against the Indiana Pacers.
After a wild, last-second Tyrese Haliburton shot sent the game to overtime, the Indiana Pacers stunned the New York Knicks, 138-135, to take Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.
At the end of regulation with the Pacers down two, Haliburton hit a step-back three at the buzzer. The ball hit the back of the rim, skied about six feet above, and fell into the net as time expired. However, upon review, his toe was still on the line.
Tyrese Haliburton came up clutch once again for his side as he tallied a team-high 31 points, including the game-tying two at the end of regulation time, which saw him whip out the famous Reggie Miller 'choke' celebration with the Pacers legend in attendance.
