Kentucky coach Mark Pope's technical and Otega Oweh's heave before halftime fired up UK basketball, but the Wildcats lost a heartbreaker vs Missouri.

The Cats carried that momentum over and stole the lead back from the Tigers. Led by Otega Oweh, Kentucky showed spurts of excellent execution on both ends of the floor. The game was back-and-forth, with both teams refusing to let the other pull away, but the Tigers wound up coming away with a 73-68 win thanks to a 15-2 run to end the game.

The Tigers scored eight straight to end the game to defeat the Wildcats, 73-68. Despite Mizzou getting out to a 19-12 lead in the first half of play, Kentucky fought back to trail by just one at the half.

It took Kentucky basketball coach Mark Pope until early January to set his rotation. Now, for better or worse, these Cats must deliver soon.

Four days after getting run out of Tuscaloosa in an 89-74 loss to Alabama, the Cats returned to Rupp for their first home game in more than two weeks.
