Emma Raducanu has revealed that she felt “faint and dizzy” during her defeat to Jessica Pegula in the quarter-finals of the Miami Open. An impressive run from Raducanu in Florida was halted by the fourth seed as Pegula emerged in three sets to reach the last four of the WTA event.

Emma Raducanu has brought the heat in Miami. The Briton, without a full-time coach, has shrugged off her recent form and fitness concerns and sealed a quarterfinal spot at the Miami Open. The 2021 U.S Open champion's match against Jessica Pegula will be the first WTA 1000 quarterfinal of her career.

While Raducannu impressed in her win over top-ten opponent Emma Navarro earlier in the tournament, the Brit was shown how much further she still has to go after her gruelling three-set defeat to Pegula.
