A nonprofit that was awarded nearly $7 billion by the Biden administration to finance clean energy and climate-friendly projects has sued the Environmental Protection Agency, accusing it of improperly freezing its account.

The green bank was quickly targeted by EPA administrator Lee Zeldin, who was confirmed to the role in late January.

Clean-energy nonprofit Climate United says the EPA grant freeze is causing catastrophic harm to project employees, contractors and service providers.
