Authorities say the suspect in the car-ramming attack in Munich that left more than 30 people injured appears to have had an Islamic extremist motive, but there’s no evidence that he was involved with any radical network.

Police spokesperson said "there's a fear if they will survive" for some of the 28 people injured after a car ploughed into a group of demonstrators, hours before world leaders were set to descend on the German city for a high-level security conference.

The car ramming into a rally in the Bavarian capital on Thursday has left at least 36 injured, German authorities said. Munich's prosecutor said there was no evidence linking the incident to terrorist organizations.

A driver drove a car into a union demonstration in central Munich on Thursday, injuring at least 28 people including children, authorities said. Bavarian governor Markus Söder said the incident was “suspected to be an attack.
