The final ever game of the ABA saw Julius Erving (31 points 19 rebounds) and the Nets overcome a 22-point deficit to beat Denver in Game 6 and claim the last championship of the renegade league.
It was nearly 50 years ago the Nets and Nuggets competed in the 1976 ABA Championship, the final ABA game ever. The two teams have had different fates since the merger but that’s not here nor there.
