Top-seeded Jessica Pegula has beaten five-time major champion Iga Swiatek 6-4, 7-5 to win the grass-court Bad Homburg Open. It extends Swiatek’s year-long title drought.

Iga Swiatek will contest her first final in more than a year at the Bad Homburg Open after defeating Jasmine Paolini 6-1, 6-3 in Friday's semifinals.

Former world number one Iga Swiatek was playing in her first grass-court final but was overpowered by Jessica Pegula who cruised to a 6-4 7-5 win.
