A winter storm warning has been issued for Atlanta and surrounding areas as Winter Storm Cora is set to arrive in the Atlanta area early Friday with snow and ice through the day. Power outages, hazardous travel with business and school closings already ongoing.

A major winter storm is expected to be the biggest in years as cold air moves in from the Arctic bringing snow and frigid temperatures across 20 Southern States.
