A sharp change of weather is on tap for southern Manitoba, with many sections likely to be hit by blowing snow and blizzard conditions on Friday.

At least 30 collisions were reported in southern Manitoba highways, according to RCMP, and dozens of highways were closed as of noon, including the Trans-Canada from Winnipeg to Brandon. A dozen cars were also piled up in a crash on the south Perimeter Highway in Winnipeg.
Clipper hits southern Manitoba - Highway 75 closed
An Alberta Clipper has made its way to southern Manitoba. As a result, Highway 75 is closed from Winnipeg to the U.S. border. Environment Canada says blizzard conditions are developing in the Red River Valley as a cold front sweeps down from the north.
