Rain tapered off in the West Milford area around 6:30 a.m. Monday and the state Forest Fire Service is expected to provide the next update on the Jennings Creek Wildfire at about 10:30 a.m. The state Department of Environmental Protection couldn’t immediately be reached early Monday to say if the rain helped firefighting efforts.
