A fragile ceasefire between Iran and Israel appeared to be holding after initially faltering. U.S. President Donald Trump expressed frustration with both sides Tuesday, saying they had fought “for so long and so hard” that they do not know what they are doing.

President Trump declares Israel and Iran ceasefire agreement on Truth Social, stating the 12-day conflict will officially end after a phased 24-hour implementation.

Mr. Trump posted Monday night that Israel and Iran had agreed on a "Complete and Total CEASEFIRE", a move he said would end the more than weeklong conflict between the two countries.

Qatar closed its airspace Monday amid threats of Iranian retaliation against the United States. The announcement was made through the country's Foreign Ministry. Qatar is home to Al Udeid Air Base, a major base for U.

President Trump said he was “all for” lasting peace with Iran but “ready, willing and able” to strike if Tehran poses additional threats to the U.S., speaking alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Monday.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu presented Trump with Nobel Peace Prize nomination letter during White House meeting focused on Iran, Gaza and expanding regional peace.
