KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee starting wide receiver Squirrel White is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. The news was first reported by On3’s Pete Nakos. White became a fan favorite in Knoxville, hauling in 131 passes for 1,665 yards and six touchdowns in three seasons.

Florida State is adding a productive and explosive veteran wide receiver to the roster. On Sunday, Tennessee wide receiver transfer Squirrel White announced he was continuing his college career in Tallahassee.

Squirrel White is reportedly headed to the transfer portal after spending 4 seasons with the Tennessee Volunteers.

Squirrel White had 131 receptions in three seasons for Tennessee. But his production dropped in 2024 as the passing attack grew stagnant.

Squirrel White has found a new home. The former Tennessee receiver will head south to Tallahassee, set to join the Florida State Seminoles. He will have one season left to play. White was once thought of as the heir apparent to the electric Jalin Hyatt role,
