Boeser has been one of the hottest goalscorers in the NHL over the past few weeks. He has six goals in four games, which included a multi-goal effort against Seattle on December 28. If the Canucks want to pick up their first win of 2025, they will need Boeser to continue his goal-scoring streak and get a few past the Kraken's goaltender.

With captain Jordan Eberle sidelined after pelvis surgery and Seattle struggling with a five-game losing streak heading into the NHL's Christmas break, the Kraken needed someone to step up if they were to avoid a third playoff DNQ in four seasons.

The Kraken's next game comes Thursday against the Vancouver Canucks. And Adam Proteau says Seattle must make another statement by beating Vancouver.
