VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Three former Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office deputies were indicted for the in-custody death of Rolin Hill. Former Deputies Kevin Wilson, Michael Kidd and Eric Baptiste were charged with second-degree murder. On Saturday, Hill’s family alongside community members came together at Mount Trashmore Park to remember him.

Two more family members convicted in the killings of eight members of an Ohio family received lengthy prison terms on Friday for their roles in the 2016 shootings, as prosecutions near completion in what has been described as the most heinous crime in modern Ohio history.

Local organizations and the family of Rolin Hill held a prayer vigil earlier this afternoon to remember the 34-year-old who died in custody last year. On Saturday, the Virginia Beach Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office also confirmed the three former sheriff’s deputies indicted in Hill’s death have turned themselves in.
