In his first interview after taking the LSU job, Lane Kiffin told ESPN's Marty Smith he and Ole Miss "went through a lot" Saturday night when it came to coaching the Rebels in the College Football Playoff, but that he respected Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter's decision not to let him continue.
“My two calls will be the closest to that advice to what my dad would say to do in these things, and that will be coach (Pete) Carroll and coach (Nick) Saban. “Kind of wish my dad was here.” Lane Kiffin, of course, was Saban’s offensive coordinator at Alabama after he served under Carroll at USC.
