The Philadelphia Phillies benched Nick Castellanos earlier this week for his play and for choice words he said to manager Rob Thomson, now Castellanos is speaking out.

Despite turning their performance around on the field to the tune of a five-game winning streak following their victory on Monday, it was revealed a day later that manager Rob Thomson had benched Nick Castellanos for Tuesday's game after the star outfielder made an "inappropriate comment" following getting pulled from Monday's contest.

Castellanos finished 2-for-5 at the plate with a double, while Bryson Stott homered for the first time since May 17, sending a three-run shot over the center field wall in the fourth inning.
