The South Portland Police Department says the second suspect in the shooting that happened last month remains at large.

A Buxton man is behind bars on Wednesday night after police arrested him for a December shooting near a restaurant at the Maine Mall.

GARLAND (WGME) – A Central Maine man is accused of stealing a large front-end loader in Garland. Police say he attempted to drive it into a home, destroyed vehicles with it and was apparently shot by the homeowner.

Officials say the shooting happened after a resident claimed a man was trying to run through their house with the front-end loader and was destroying vehicles in their driveway.

A Corinna man allegedly stole a front-end loader and attempted to drive it through a home before being shot by its residents.
