Behind the scenes, Luka Doncic has been giving plenty of signals that he wants to play for the Lakers for years to come.

Luka Doncic is prepared to take the lead in Los Angeles. Heading into his second season with the Lakers, the 26-year-old said he wants to be known as “the guy that brought championships to the city."

“The Lakers have to be careful," the executive told ClutchPoints’ Benedetto Vitale on Wednesday. "Luka just got his butt kicked by a team he handled easily last year, and now they're telling him to wait another year before he can really compete."
