Thursday morning we see dense fog, especially near the coast, then partly cloudy and unseasonably warm. Highs in the low to mid 80s.

The first round of rain will arrive Sunday, bringing over an inch of rain for many. Even heavier rainfall is expected by week's end.

Record highs for Wednesday are 83 in Houston, but look for a few light showers, slightly more wind and highs again in the low 80s. The cold front on Sunday will bring some scattered showers next week.

Sunday’s front may stall out before reaching the Houston metro. As it stall rain chances increase into early week. Behind it temperatures fall closer to normal, meaning highs in the mid-60s (which is what our mornings will feel like this week) and lows back down in the 50s.

This week has been the warmest series of days in early February since 1957. Today's record for Houston is just 82 degrees, so will likely be broken by 2 to 3 p.m.

It's forecasted to be very warm on Tuesday with Houston's record high smashed on Monday. The previous record was 80° and we hit 83°. Likewise, Galveston's high of 76 degrees broke the previous record of 75 degrees.

Tuesday's snow largely melted Wednesday as temperatures climbed from the teens into the 40s. Highs in the lows 50s are forecasted for Thursday and Friday, with temperatures reaching the 60s this weekend,

Look for partly sunny skies with areas of fog each morning. Fog will be thickest around the coast with patchy fog farther inland up to Houston. Temperatures the next few days will once again soar to the 80s during the afternoon which is about 15° above normal for this time of February.
