The organizing committee for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles signed Honda as a “founding partner” Monday, giving the upcoming Summer Games their sixth new sponsor this year and their first tier-one sponsor since 2021.

By Rory Carroll LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -Honda was named as the automotive partner of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and Team USA on Monday in the latest domestic sponsorship deal for the sporting extravaganza.

“Honda will help the world’s greatest athletes pursue their dreams in 2028 as a Founding Partner of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games,” the carmaker announced yesterday at its Torrance, California, headquarters, just a half hour’s freeway drive south of the very Coliseum that hosted the Games in 1932 and 1984—and will host them again in ‘28.
