The Henderson Fire started shortly after 5:30 p.m. Friday off Henderson Road, north of state Route 76 and east of Interstate 15 in San Diego County.
Fire crews continued work Saturday to contain a brush fire that burned more than 250 acres in Pala and forced evacuations. The fire was first reported around 5:40 p.m. Friday on Henderson Road near Oaks Road and was 15% contained as of Saturday, according to Cal Fire.
Around 160 firefighters from multiple agencies have been working to contain the Henderson Fire in the south of the Golden State.
