Far Cry Live-Action TV Show From Alien: Earth Creator Gets Huge Update
The live action TV show adaptation of the blockbuster Far Cry video game franchise has officially received a green light. FX has placed a series order for the show, which will be helmed by the creator of Alien: Earth.
Based on Ubisoft's hit video game franchise, the limited anthology series will stream on Hulu and be produced by FX Productions. The anthology will also parallel the video games' format by having a new setting and cast of characters in each season.
With Noah Hawley on board as co-producer, we can be sure the show is in good hands. Like the games, each season will tell its own story.
A Far Cry TV series is officially moving forward, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob Mac is set to appear.
The €1.16 billion ($1.3 billion) cash investment, which will be used to cut the French video game publisher’s debt, followed an agreement reached in March, Ubisoft (OTCPK:UBSFF) said in a statement on Friday after markets closed.
The team, which got off to a rocky start when Assassin's Creed boss Marc-Alexis Côté left Ubisoft to "pursue a new path elsewhere," is led by Charlie Guillemot and Cristophe Derennes. Today marks the completion of Tencent's investment, making the deal officially official. Vantage Studio has been fully operational since October 1st, 2025.
