Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen told reporters on Saturday he's "very close" to making a decision in the quarterback battle between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones.

Jones, 28, started the Colts’ second preseason game in a loss to the Packers and — after a slow start on his opening two drives — finished the day completing 7 of 11 passes for 101 yards.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen said this week that he wants to make a decision about the team's starting quarterback sooner rather than later and it looks like that has a good chance of happening. Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson both saw action in Saturday's game against the Packers and both players avoided injury during their time in the lineup.
