The first trailer for Danny Boyle's "28 Years Later" shows Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes in postapocalyptic Britain.

The new sequel, which stars Jodie Comer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, follows a group of survivors who live away from the infected on a remote island - and make some horrifying discovers when they return to the mainland.

"We wanted him to be involved and he wanted to be involved," producer Andrew Macdonald says of Murphy, who's executive producing the new trilogy.

When Macdonald says “in the trilogy,” he’s not referring to 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, and 28 Years Later. If you hadn’t heard, 28 Years Later kicks off a brand-new trilogy. The second film, 28 Days Later: The Bone Temple, directed by Nia DaCosta, has already completed production and will be released in 2026.
