California is on the verge of legalizing cannabis cafes, where people can legally smoke weed and eat food inside specialty licensed lounges. Lawmakers have already approved a bill legalizing the cafes and business owners are now waiting to see if Gov. Gavin Newsom will give final approval to the plan.

Hollywood actors with stocks in the cannabis industry are urging Governor Gavin Newsom to legalize the “cannabis cafe” bill. This bill would allow licensed cannabis retailers to sell products other than marijuana — such as snacks and beverages — in hopes of boosting more diverse forms of revenue.
