Veteran Bowman Gray Stadium racer and multi-time champion Robbie Brewer has died at age 53 after a crash during Saturday night's Sportsman division race.

Robbie Brewer, a veteran short track racer in the Carolinas, died Saturday night after a crash while racing in the Sportsman division at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem. He was 53.

The racing community will gather at Bowman Gray Stadium to celebrate late driver Robbie Brewer's legacy as S & P Lemonade debuts "Robbie’s Checkered Chill."
